A short, simple update from me, thought I’d take this opportunity to post, seeing as my blog had been quite quiet recently (in fact it’s been long enough for me to temporarily forget where the picture insert button was!), and my Facebook page too! But I had my reasons, my A-level exams!
Now that I have finished PE and French to A2 level, and Geography/RS to AS, it’s time to start Geography A2 (well in September anyway!) For the past few weeks or so, I have been training at the Surrey Sports Park, under the guidance of my coach. Recently I have been bumping into Chemmy Alcott in the gym, and once or twice I have seen Dougie Crawford too. It has been great to get to know them and see them in their training environment. All 3 of us are very lucky to have the opportunity to train in such a prestigious sporting complex. Due to Olympic athletes from multiple nations using the SSP as a training base, before and during the London 2012 Games, the SSP appeals to many high performance athletes, such as GB Basketball, Surrey Storm, the Harlequins, England Lacrosse, University Elite Athletes…the list goes on. However, the recent heatwave here in the UK has made the outdoor part of my training programme rather challenging, it certainly isn’t what skiers are used to!
